JUST IN:-Jamb set cutoff mark for universities. The joint admission and matriculation Board (Jamb) has set the minimum cutoff for universities across the country in the 2020 admission session. Funke Akindele and hubby pleaded guilty Actress Funke Akindele-Bello and her hubby, Abdulrasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz, have pleaded guilty to the one count charge of defiling the orders of the Lagos state government on public gatherings and social distancing. The couple were arraigned on Monday morning April 6, before a Chief Magistrate court in Ogba by the Lagos State Government and the state police command for the alleged violation of the lockdown order to check the spread of coronavirus. The charge was filed by the  Attorney General of Lagos State, Moyosore Onigbanjo. 59 people die as Pastor gives them dettol to drink in church to prevent Coronavirus. South African Prophet Rufus Phala allegedly gave his members Dettol , a household bleach to drink as a preventive medicine to Coronavirus and also as a sign of faith during a church service. Fifty-nine of them have been confirmed dead while four are in critical condition after drinking the Dettol . According to the report, the gullible followers of the prophet were made to believe that dettol would keep them away from contracting the deadly Coronavirus and any other diseases. Those already ailing with different diseases were promised to be healed by the disinfectant which was to be admistered orally. COVID-19:-   Angry youths burn police station in Katsina for stopping their prayers. Angry youths burn police station in Katsina Protesting youths in Kusada town in Katsina State have burnt down a Police station as well as seven cars, two motorcycles and a generator all parked in front of the station. Investigation by The Nation revealed that the youths were protesting that Police prevented them from observing their prayers on Friday in compliance with the the state government directive on checking the spread of COVID-19. My fiancé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still yet to show any symptoms whatsoever. She is now being quarantined and I have also gone into full self isolation for the minimum 14 days. JAMB Arrests 149 Candidates For UTME Malpractices. The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has released information about 149 candidates arrested for malpractices during the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The malpractices committed includes attempt to cheat, forceful entrance, tampering with examination documents, examination by proxy, smuggling of mobile phones into the examination halls among others. According to the board Imo, Anambra and Enugu States top the list with 26, 12 and 12 candidates respectively, the other states on the list include; Abia, Adamawa, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo, and Osun.
